The Garden of Hope provides gardening classes throughout our region of Sacatepéquez. Our curriculum is creative, hands on and based in permaculture principles. Our environmental education program strives to make our outdoor classroom space and services accessible for anyone. We impart classes to students of all ages and backgrounds. Our partner schools that cannot pay full price work with us through an honorary donation or exchange program. Community Development & Nutrition
We provide a variety of opportunities for our community to get involved in the garden. Our Family Days are a community favorite. These special days happen once a month. An average of 50 people of all ages show up, help maintain and build in the garden, play garden related games, listen to music, paint, cook, eat a healthy snack. Each family leaves with a bundle of produce from the garden.
We have an acre permaculture garden complete with an outdoor classroom, kitchen, 6 chickens, 4 different composting systems and therapy spaces.
Economic Opportunities for Youth: We believe in and support young people by providing access to dignified employment and helping strengthen their entrepreneurial potential.
